3D STEP files support IGBT gate driver designs
3D interactive models of the company’s drivers are also included in new application manuals.
SCALE-2 IGBT gate drivers use an ASIC chipset to reduce component count and size, and increase performance, scalability and reliability. The gate drivers enable designers to optimize dynamic switching performance, accuracy and functionality, providing design flexibility and reducing time-to-market for applications ranging from 150 A to 3600 A and 600 V to 6500 V. 3D STEP models are used by design engineers to identify mechanical conflicts between the driver and other parts of the system – an especially useful option in mechanically dense designs.
The new 3D interactive models enable users to view and rotate the driver on-screen so that they can get a better impression of the overall mechanical construction.
